What happens after you get in touch?
You get a call back, usually the same day. Here is the whole process, so there are no surprises in it.
A call back
Usually same day, next morning at the latest if you call during a job. Daylight hours, most days.
A few questions
Roughly how big the area is, how overgrown, whether a tractor can get in, and when you need it done.
A look at the ground
For anything beyond a straightforward cut. Free, about half an hour, no obligation at the end of it.
A written number
Hourly or as a fixed project price, with what it covers spelled out. Then the same person does the work.
What should I have ready when I call?
None of it is essential — but having a couple of these to hand makes the first conversation much quicker.
Where the property is
Town or township is enough to start. It decides travel, and travel decides whether a small job is worth doing.
Rough size of the area
Acres, or "about the size of a football field", or the length of the driveway. A rough figure beats an exact one you are unsure about.
How bad it has got
Knee-high grass and three-year-old saplings are very different jobs. Say which it looks closest to.
Access for equipment
Can a tractor and trailer get in? Gates, soft ground, low branches and tight turns all matter.
A photo or two
The single most useful thing. Text or message them after you call and half the questions disappear.
When you need it
Mowing books up through the season. Project work is scheduled around weather and ground conditions.
